Sorry, when I said my muffler weighed 16lbs I should have mentioned it was a stock pipe from an 04 12R. I'm expecting to receive my pipe from Randy Monday or Tuesday and am really pleased with the customer service and amazed at his knowledge of these bikes.
 
You shouldn't have to. That's probably all that randys maps are anyways.

The one he gave me was a custom one that he developed by data logging on his. He & I both have 2004 XB12's. I'm not sure what else he has (other than ALL the race maps) but I'm sure he'd share whatever he has if it would benefit you...

Sorry for getting this info out so late. Both Randy and I have 9 to 6 jobs and wifes that drive us up the wall! ;-) I've been working With Randy for some time and have worked with Tuning buells with directlink, ECMSPY, and HD tunner. I've been working on maps for this muffler and we are in the process for making more design changes for XB9 and XP12. (Mostly in the 9).

At this time you can use both Stock and Race ECM maps for the time being. IF you understand how to do data logging you can also use ECMSPY to re-tune your maps. However,tuning with WO2 on both cylinder is the best way to get this map dialed in just right. Once I feel it's ready I will pay to have it dyno and post results. Please keep in mind that we both have families and holidays are around the corner.. and yes, It's $%$%^ cold here!

Since Buell is now a closed item ( For Now ;-) ) I'm working on getting all maps for different setups.. at this time all maps will be based on K&N with Hawk mufflers and model bike. After that I will build to other requirements. I currently have beta testers ready for the new maps and we will post our finding here soon. Also, for those with newer bike, I'm currently working on my 1125R mapping and Randy is looking into possible stock muffler modifications. I believe the stock muffler is a good design on the 1125 but I hate that my exhaust blows by the rim and rear brake and it's too quiet for me at a low RPM.

Once again sorry for not getting this out sooner, Work has been a killer!

PS 50dro, the map/eprom that Randy sent you was not from me but from another bueller that was data logging it with ECMSPY with a NO2. From what I looked at it's has some lean spots in it still. Randy has a totally different map in is bike that he's been using.

Sorry for the mix up. He's riding with a slight rich map for awhile just because he likes that grunt pull from his XB12... He's going to need new plugs if he keeps it up!

I'm sure we could use some more test riders once I finish the 12 map. The only downfall right now is time. Today was not a good run for me on the XB9. Randy woke up to find his rear tire was flat because of a 3/4 in long by 1/4 in bolt! So we didn't get get our ride time together but I do like how the results are turning out on the XB9. I had him modify my old Buell Pro muffler for my old XB9, so far it's working out well based on todays run. But since I was ALL alone, I took my new toy for a ride ;) the 1125R.

I got my "Hawk" modified muffler Tuesday and cant believe the difference in sound and pull. I burned an eeprom that was copied from a race ecm, installed a K&N air filter, reset the tps and took it for a ride. There is a surprising amount of low-end pull and mid-range acceleration seems to have really increased. It sounds mean! The only con is cruising around 3k rpm the exhaust resonates in my helmet. I know that sounds weird but earplugs would probably cure it. Randy is a top-notch guy and goes out of his way to make sure you're happy.

It's nice to see the variations that Randy has out there.
 
feel free to post a pic of the internals as well. ive been getting conflicting information about what happens in there.

Glad to hear your liking your muffler! Randy does take great pride in what he does even when it's not a Buell. ;-).

As for the map, try to use later model if you haven't already. I have notice in those maps have been better however the timing map haven't change if any. Also I have some users reporting that they like the Stock flash better then the race depending on the mods and bike build. PM me if you need help.

Hoping to get some more time to finish these new maps this weekend but work is B$%^#. FYI, I'm a Consultant for SAP. So I really don't have much of a life. :(

With the Value and Helpfulness that Randy offers his with His pipe mods, I don't think it would be appropriate to give away his personal design without his consent.
 
from the sound of it bruno works closely with him so im sure he wouldnt if its not ok. I just dont have the money to send my pipe out and i have the resources and skills to do it myself. Either way Im going to mod my pipe myself, I just like to see what everyone is doing so I can get a better idea of what I want to do.

I completely understand why he wouldnt want to post the information. My post was more of a just kidding but if your willing to share go for it.
 
He mentioned about a thread over on BWB about his exhaust. Apparently he has been suspended from the site because of his comments on there. Just have a read and see if he deserves to be suspended. To me he was just defending himself.....wow

I didn't see anything offensive about his comments at all... Guess he's going to have to hang out at BuelXB from now on!![up] (Where he won't be called a "knock-off" and where he WILL be appreciated!)
 
WOW, I just read the thread on bwb and it is so funny, Randy was obviously just defending himself, in a very calm manner if you ask me and those idiots cut him.
I have contemplated joining that forum, just for the love of Buell but after reading some threads its a night and day difference between XB and bwb. Everyone here at XB seems to helpful and civilized and from what I have seen at bwb its more like high school.
Now my turn to act immature Im pretty sure that those Froggy and Blake guys are ass buddies who don't know their head from there ass.
sorry for the rant I just hate to see good honest people like Randy get bashed for no reason, especially by two douche bags who haven't even used his product. I have always promoted his product because I enjoyed it and appreciated all Randy help welcoming me to the Buell world. as everyone here has their favorite muffler, Im sure its for great reasons and I would never bash you on what you like. its all about the love of riding buells and randy totally embodies that.

Hey Phazernut, I saw that Thanks![up] I would have done that myself but I don't think I will be joining. If I did it would we solely to defend good people and discuss Buells. this forum is suiting those needs just fine
 
I joined a while ago over there before I realized how it works on that site......their way or the highway.......I think my time is better spent over here from now on.
