Hawk Performance Mufflers!!!

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

I have talked to Randy on the phone a few times. Very knowledgeable guy. Straight up no BS down home southern hospitality as well. I am waiting until January to send my pipe down. I'll have to figure out the remapping schedule with Bruno too.

Problem is, the Hawk pipe is junk, and Randy is unethical.

What kind of crack is that Froggy guy smokin?!?!?!? He obviously hasn't dealt with Randy!! Don't think I'll be joining BadWeb[mad]

Well, I couldn't help it, I had to post up my opinion in that thread. Looks like I'm going to have to stick around here. ;)

Ok ok ok someone please message me his number he must be great with this much support... And since I am waaayyy too lazy to develop my own pipe I think he is the way to go... I love this forum!

So I've been tossing up whether to get a drummer or a hawk performance muffler. Does anyone have a sound clip or video of one just being ridden not WOT? I really like the deep sound of the drummer but the price of the Hawk is making me look their way.

I tried to get one but the ice came before I could get a chance. It sounds real nice when riding along at regular speed as well. Like any louder exhaust on a Buell, you still will get the resonance in your helmet but nothing I can't live with. Unlike the Jardine.

On another note, my post on BWB has been removed from the board.

Just sent 2 mufflers out to Randy today, mine and a buddy's. I am foaming at the mouth already. Unfortunately I leave for vacation tomorrow (gonna be a long 2 weeks)! [smirk]

I have to wait all winter before I hear mine again :(:(:(:(:(:(

On the up side I'll soon be riding to the sweet sound of my Yamaha Apex....:D:D:D:D:D

Juice,
You made a good choice, as I've said before I am very happy with mine. I was skeptical about the Hawk muffler retaining the lower end torque but I can tell you that its there! I'm still playing with a couple of maps that I made using ECMSPY and DatalogViewer and plan on having it dynoed this coming Spring but it feels like I've picked up some power all across the powerband.

^ Yeah, I almost wish I had an older model xb...I just bought my 09 scg 3 weeks ago so no ECMSPY yet, but as I understand, it will 'learn' the new muffler. That will work for now till we get some remaps for the 09's

With all the positive publicity Hawk has been receiving lately on this board I think he should have a bike dyno tested to help prove the claims.

Need to make sure to do a before and after dyno, but after the bike has learned the new pipe by riding for about half an hour on the hwy.

Juicehead. You can tune the 09 ecms. If you have ecmspy you can send me your eeprom and I can make a few minor adjustments to make the bike run a lil more rich aross the board.
