So why did I not get a break over the weekend! 2 Speeding tickets in 1.5 hours. I was nice and very respectful. Got a 73 in a 55 and a 84 in a 60. 1st was a state trooper. 2nd was county I think. Man what an expensive trip. 2nd police officer was pretty nice. Felt bad it was already my 2nd and knocked it down to a 79 in a 60. Even after following me for more than 3 miles without me noticing. (Was going on 285 from Denver to Alamosa in Colorado)

Forgot to ask him something I was wondering though. How long until one of you would have thought I was trying to run? Guess I stayed at my constant speed of over 80... would have sped up if I were running.

Now I am stuck thinking of all the parts I could have had with $300 instead of tickets and points on my license. Not looking forward to seeing what happens to my insurance. Anyways, just needed to vent a little.

yeah i just recently got a careless driving ticket, reason for the ticket he said "i didnt use my turn signal to switch lanes"

Wow that sucks. But I do know that every time I've gotten a speeding ticket I never do anything to deserve another. In IL you can always get supervision for 60 days to keep it off of your record as long as you don't get another.

yeh, sorta. They charge you an extra $75. Any way for the state to get more of your money.

i dont know i would rather give it to the state once then the insurance company over the next couple of years in a rate spike due to the ticket

up to 5 tickets this year. One of these days my insurance company will catch on.....lol

I am allowed 12 points here in CO. pay the fines without fighting and they cut the points in half. When I pay each of these they will total 4 points. In addition to my running a stop sign I am half way to losing my license:D

wow, you guys truly are "BAD BOYS"

I never speed over 5 miles over the limit [up]:p[down] yeah I wish. I just always watch out ahead and behind me on a constant

I pay 3 to 5 dollars cash every time I get done for speeding but have learnt that if I am doing 200 klm/h the cops cant get across the road quick enough to stop me, its hard living in a third world country but someones got to do it :D

Too bad that's about the only benefit to living in a 3rd world country.;)

have you ever tried to fight a ticket there?
in Mi if you call and fight it.
you appear in front of the magistrate and if the cop doesn't show it is an automatic dissmsle.
Not so in ohio i found out :(

In MI if you over pay a ticket even by $5 and don't cash the refund check the state legally has to send you the points will not go on your record, at least not until you cash the check so if you figure an additional $5 for each ticket and just never cash the refund you wont have to worry about the points or insurance going up.

Then after 2 years the ticket will be erased from your record due to time elapse and you should be free and clear.

Even if it doesn't work in your state it is still worth the shot considering it is only $10, I didn't believe it but sure as shit I received a check in the mail a couple weeks after I sent in the money and just never cashed it and never heard anything from the insurance company.

I guess you have never been to Thailand then ;)
About the woarst thing here is getting bike parts been around the world and I find sitting in my little work shop in the middle of no where the best place on earth [up]

Sounds like you should have slowed down after the first ticket....I fell for ya though!

I almost got two in one day in a camaro but the second cop let me off due to getting the first ticket and i was inly about 6 mph over the limit. I guess it depends on the cop and the situation.

Not to say you had it coming, but you had it coming. It's not like you were just cruisin 5 or 10 over the limit. You were MOVIN.

I got pulled over for not having my license plate visible, and not using my signals to change lanes. Told the cop sorry, it's hot out, I'm just tryin to get out of this sun. Then he asked me what kind of bike I had. and i said "It's a Buell, but it doesn't compare to your Honda 1300. You're bike is sweet dude"

So basically I gave the cop a handjob and he let me off with a warning.

When I got home, I cut myself with a rusty pair of gardening sheers.

Some cops will give you a ticket if they pull you over, period. That's just what they do and how they roll.

Others will use the stop to run your plate, check insurance, make sure you are square, then decide. If you come up clean and it was minor like a lane change, 10mph over, etc. then they will usually cut you a break.

One cop I know says if it's something he does on his time like a bad u-turn, lane change, boulevard stop, he will let you go if you and your ride check out and you aren't a dick about it.

But 15+ over the posted speed will get you a ticket from any of the cops I know.
