Well hit me up when ya find one cuz I have the same mods on an 03 and need a map. The race is the best I could find for now....without tuning of course

yeah i can send you the race map for 04, i havent ever datalogged, im not exactly a computer nut but i figured out ecmspy a little bit.

also-im in Iowa so the average temp is nothing average its been 48 and 90 degrees in the last two weeks! haha but it seems to run fine either way, i think the race map is better than the stock at any altitude.

I sent you and email with the 04 maps by the way and you need to make sure that the ecm's match up correctly so that you don't brick the ecm! -Just thought of that to add

waiting on my cable tried reading the ecmspy manual not to easy to understand but i figure ill give it a try the diy video im gonna watch about 20 more times since there is no sound makes it harder to comprehend so all else fails ebr opens soon buy a race ecm what do u mean make sure the ecm's match up

I am not able to get my bike to communicate at all. I feel the smoke rolling out of my ears as I pour over the various threads regarding tuning. I have an 09 XB12 and can not even get mono to retrieve my eeprom.
All I get is the following.

An error occured. Failed to get type info from ECM.
Please check message area for details.

Serial Device: COM1
Error: exiting - failed to get ECM Type!
Open serial device COM1.
SendRequest(): Error: caught timeout exception
Error: transmission failed - return code -1

08's and newer, you have to have the "PAY FOR PLAY" version of ECM SPY, I think, I may be wrong, but I do know TUNERPRO RT works for our DDFI3 ecm's

What is the newest version of ECMspy out there... i have 1.12.26 but im not sure if i need a newer one. Something isn't working correctly...

how many people make race ecms just got my cable for ecm spy today went to remove ecm thinking it was stock and to my suprise in bold white letters
FOR RACE USE ONLY does this mean i can use my jardine and do the breather delete and maybe get away with just a tps would like to find out what brand it is

If you want to use ECMSPY, yes you have to have the Pay For Play version, or you can use TunerPro for free, well the developer asks for a 30 dollar donation to remove the nag screen at start-up, but it is fully functional, and will work on all versions of Buell ECMs

From what I have gathered, here and elsewhere, ECM Spy is easier to use, but Tuner Pro is a lot more powerful, it gives you complete control over every aspect of the ECM, if the ECM controls something, you have control over what it does, I am by no means an expert, I have yet to do any tuning with either of them, but when my EBR ECM comes in, I will start learning Tuner Pro, on my stock ECM
